Blue Sky hosts a daily province-wide discussion about the stories that matter to Saskatchewan. Your lunch date includes everything from meaty politics to sweet good-news stories from all corners of the province.

Mentors play an important part in all of our lives. It could be a colleague who helps you navigate your career, or a friend who’s always there to offer words of wisdom. Either way, nearly everyone has had some sort of mentor or role model in their lives who has helped them get through the tough times and celebrate the good times. Since it’s National Mentorship Month, today we’re celebrating all of the great mentors out there and the organizations who offer top-notch mentorship programs.

Kathy Hauser, Director of Service Delivery, shares the importance of the core work we do at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon and Area, explains the different programs we offer, provides examples of activities that Mentors and Mentees are doing safely and distanced in person and virtual, the benefits of mentoring and WHY people get involved.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon and Area is currently looking for volunteers who have LIVED EXPERIENCE. Have you been through a couple of highs and lows in the past but are now a stable citizen? Do you have a minimum of an hour of time to give to a youth/child in need?
