Below Marinko shares his career journey, the impacts of a positive role model and why he is involved with BBBS:
I am a practicing lawyer in Saskatoon. I started my career with the law firm Robertson Stromberg LLP as a student in 2011 and have been a partner with the firm since 2019. My focus is the area of business law, more common referred to as corporate/commercial.
I enjoy my spare time by stay active working out at the gym and cycling in the warmer months. I also enjoy reading and listening to audiobooks, trying out new restaurants and craft beers.
Growing up my mother was my role model. Her patience and selflessness in raising two boys was unmatched. She was always a guiding light in my pursuit for a better education and life then what we had growing up.
When I was asked to join BBBS, I felt it was a chance to be able to give something back to the community and to those less fortunate. I grew up in a household with very modest financial means, and count myself extremely lucky to have had the role models in my life to be able to achieve the success I have had in adulthood. BBBS offers opportunities to those less fortune to better themselves and their families and I hope to be able to provide a positive benefit to the organization.
– Thank you Marinko for your commitment to igniting the potential of youth in our community! We are so fortunate to have you on our Board of Directors.
